- People
Before you go anywhere, some regular questions you can ask yourself:
- Do I have all of my equipment for myself and what I need for my students (which might involve extra equipment, materials or clothing)?
- Is every part of the equipment safe, well maintained, and ready to use?
- How are my students going to be affected by the elements, and how are they going to affect each other?
- At what point do I deny a student from coming on a trip because of safety concerns?
- Have I checked the weather forecast, and what items and clothing do I need to bring in correlation to the weather?
- How will the weather affect my travel, both on the road and while on our hike, ski trip, canoe trip, etc...?
